Oracle Cloud to 3rd party WMS integration with shipment number created in advance in Oracle cloud

Oracle recommended approach is that full control will be given to WMS and once we get confirmation from WMS it will provide us the shipment number using which we can complete the ship confirmation in oracle cloud.

For our client, we need to create shipment number in advance before sending details to WMS system. There are various businss reasons to do it. Due to this we are not able to utilize the standard process of doing ship confirmation and will be utilizing APIs to do the reservation, pick, pack and ship confirmation process in oracle cloud.

Wanted to validate if any of you had similar requirements in your projects and share any insights.
