Adding Custom Objects to Message Templates

Hello,

I am trying to edit the default message templates and was wondering if there is a way to add custom objects to the body the same way we can add custom fields? Let's say for example that I have a custom object named "Team" and would like to add one of its fields to a message template. Is it possible to achieve this?

Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
