Oracle Service Cloud will be migrating to PHP 5.6

Hello All

We'd like to inform you of an important change planned for upcoming release.  Oracle Service Cloud will soon (most likely in August 2016) include a migration from PHP 5.3 to PHP 5.6.  This migration is critical to our security accreditation as well as our customization viability. 

The most important thing to know about this migration is that PHP 5.6 has some changes in syntax and functionality.  We have worked very hard in the last year to make our product code PHP 5.6-ready and to set out plans to make this migration as easy as possible for our customers as well.  To that end we have published two customer-ready Knowledgebase Answers that summarize the policy/procedure of this migration (‘why’ and ‘when’) as well as the technical details (‘what’) of the migration to PHP 5.6:
