Is it possible to have unique format of lot numbering by 'product type' for the same item in Oracle?

Summary:
We have three Process Manufacturing sites with a strong requirement to embed business intelligence into the Lot Number generation.

Out-of-the-box Oracle Cloud allows defining a lot prefix at the Item or Organization level, but the lot sequence thereafter is purely numeric and does not allow differentiation based on:

• Product Type
• Formulation / Product Line
• Manufacturing process stage

This limitation results in:

• Difficulty in visually identifying lot context across product families

Business Requirement: To have different lot numbering formats for different product types for the same item
