Every developer or development team should agree on names and development conventions. Steven offers a well-founded standard that can be the basis for any team. You should have good reasons to do it differently.
Sorry, I'm not seeing anything on this thread. Is there supposed to be an attachment? Maybe I'm missing something obvious, but I can't find where I'd download a file. New to Oracle Forums… Linked to here from Steve Feuerstein's website. This is what I see:
The thread is from 2016 and the forum migrated to a new platform just a few years ago. Many such links or attached documents etc. did not migrate correctly with all the content. Nothing we can do about it unfortunately.
I don't think Steven's post was a link or an attached document. It would make no sense: he has a link to this thread from his blog; why would he link from his blog to this forum, to reach another link or an attached document? He would give the target link (or the attached document) directly on his blog.
Rather, it looks like someone or something (possibly Steven himself) deleted the post for some reason. I don't know if he ( @steven-feuerstein-oracle ) is still visiting this forum; he can probably shed some light.
I think I found it, actually. See here. Unfortunately, I cannot attach the .zip file to the post.
Well, as that O'Reilly standards was authored 7 years ago, it's probably about right, but who knows which one Steven posted in the first thread. As he's retired now, and left facebook where I was in touch with him, it's not going to be possible to ask him… and to be honest he probably wouldn't care any more ;)
Your link to those will have to do as a substitute.
