Oracle NoSQL Database: Introduction and use cases

Session Abstract:

The Oracle NoSQL Database is a very high performance sharded NoSQL solution, designed to handle the high throughput, low latency data management needs of modern enterprise applications.  NoSQL Database can run on commodity hardware and is also available on the Oracle  Big Data Appliance (engineered system). NoSQL Database provides simple, flexible APIs as well as “intelligent” administration and management features in order to address the needs of developers as well as IT.  NoSQL Database is a component of Oracle’s Big Data solution and is integrated with several complementary Oracle as well as open source technologies such as Oracle Database, Hadoop, Oracle Coherence, Oracle Event processing, Oracle Graph and Spatial and Database Mobile server; this seamless integration simplifies the task of development new applications that are typically built using multiple technologies.

Oracle NoSQL Database users have implemented solutions in many areas such as financial institutions, manufacturing, e-commerce, online gaming, Internet Of Things and other scenarios that require a high performance, reliable, scalable NoSQL store.

Session Title:

Big Data - Oracle to Hadoop with Demo

Session Abstract:

Big Data enables many new ways to leverage data. Now in order to achieve that, we will have to integrate both structured and unstructured data. With Hadoop being used to process unstructured data and this data has to be combined structured data seating in RDBMS for analysis. Thus it all starts with the most common requirement of transferring of data between RDBMS and Hadoop to enable advanced analysis.  Oracle Big Data Connectors and Oracle Loader enables you to achieve this by providing high performance connectivity between Hadoop and Oracle. This session illustrates how Oracle BigData Connectors are used to link data between Oracle and Hadoop.  The session explains

  1. How to configure Oracle Big Data Connectors
  2. Load data from Oracle to Hadoop and vice versa
  3. How to query big data from your Oracle SQL prompt
  4. What are the limitations which helps you to define the scope of data movement
