Session Title:

Using Oracle 12c for Moving from High Availability (HA) to Continuous Availability (CA)

Session Abstract:

In today’s world where application is expected to be available 24x7x365, DBA often finds it very challenging to design a database solution that can meet very stringent RTO, RPO, Availability, Performance and various SLA related requirements while being most cost effective.

In this session, you will learn about the challenges related to meeting these requirements and how to design a database solution for such requirements. Session will start with Design concepts like- Active-Active design, N+1 Design etc. then understanding the role of engineered systems like- Exadata, ODA, SuperCluster and some of the 12c cool features like- Far Sync, Flex ASM and GDS, followed by small case study showing one end state diagram for given requirement.
