Description

Presentation: Dynamic Actions, Javascript, & CSS for APEX beginners

Dynamic Actions, JavaScript and CSS. These are a tightly coupled set of tools many APEX developers may be underutilising.

If you've started to dabble with Dynamic Actions, but still have a little trouble adopting JavaScript examples from the wild into your APEX applications, then come interact with Scott's presentation to demystify some of what JavaScript has to offer APEX developers.

Yes, *interact* with the presentation. The plan is to conduct mostly inline demonstrations of applied examples using JavaScript and CSS within the APEX domain, drawing from frequent coding patterns.

The example application will be available for download, for later reference

About the Presenter

Scott Wesley  has been working with Oracle products since the turn of the century. Years spanning retail, government, finance & construction sectors, Scott has actively researched and applied cutting edge technologies from the Oracle product range.

His current tool of choice is Application Express (APEX), involved with projects creating applications pushing the growing limits of the ever maturing product. Recent projects have incorporated jQuery content, third party plug-ins, and development of tablet-based applications.

Scott is a regular presenter at Australian Oracle User Group (AUSOUG) events, and recent experiences with APEX helped Scott to win the 2011 Best Paper for his presentation on "APEX 4.1 Security" - aided with the fresh 'prezi' delivery style.  He published a video series through Packt Publishing titled "Oracle APEX Techniques" in 2013, and in 2014 he was recognised as an Oracle ACE
