Marketing Automation Specialist

As a Marketing Automation Specialist, you are responsible for leveraging Intralinks’ Marketing Automation Platform (MAP) to assist our marketing and sales teams in executing well-segmented and targeted demand generation campaigns, with an emphasis on driving the development, testing, and analysis of email marketing programs. As an ideal candidate, you have significant hands-on experience with a MAP or email marketing software and have a strong desire to elevate the email channel’s effectiveness as a lead gen and awareness marketing tool.

 

About the Team

Reporting to the Director, Marketing Automation, you will be a part of the Marketing, Strategy, and Innovation department that works closely with corporate marketing, field marketing, product marketing, and sales teams.

 

Responsibilities

  • Be a marketing automation “power user” and go-to resource for global marketing teams
  • Project manage and execute email marketing campaigns, providing reporting, insights, and suggestions for tactic and channel optimization
  • Advise and perform audience segmentation strategies to incorporate available demographic and behavioral criteria from multiple sources within the marketing data ecosystem for optimal design and response
  • Ensure programs follow email preference and compliance guidelines
  • Champion data quality and management to build the depth, breadth, and quality of the marketing database
  • Generate and analyze regular reporting on effectiveness and key performance indicators (KPIs) to share program impact and key learnings with marketing stakeholders and partners

  • Seek and communicate opportunities for process improvement across marketing functions
  • Keep up-to-date and adhere to digital marketing best practices, including; usability, design/copywriting, privacy, and legislative policies

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing related field
  • 3+ years’ work experience in a B2B marketing organization using Eloqua, Pardot, Marketo, and proficiency with email marketing and marketing automation best practices
  • B2B marketing experience within SaaS, FinTech, Financial Services or Software organizations.
  • Experience using Salesforce, and other CRM tools.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS coding required; more advanced coding experience a plus
  • Advanced MS Office skills, especially in Excel and PowerPoint

     The New York State Office of Information Technology Services is seeking a PeopleSoft HCM Functional Lead to assist in implementing Statewide mission critical PeopleSoft Applications including but not limited to Human Capital Management (HCM), Statewide Learning Management System (SLMS), New York Benefits Eligibility and Accounting System (NYBEAS) and New York State Electronic Personnel System (NYSTEP). 
Planning is underway to define, design and build an Enterprise HRMS (Human Resource Management System) to transform NYS HR processes. The incumbent will be a key player in this initiative to transition NYS to an Enterprise HRMS (Human Resource Management System) Solution that leverages NYS owned PeopleSoft technology as well as HRMS best practices to transform NYS HRMS activities.

 

Specific duties include but are not limited to: 
• Provide functional expertise in the areas of business requirements, functional requirements, business process redesign, testing and transition planning.
• Collaborate with HRMS project stakeholders to identify recommendations for process improvements, overcome business and functional constraints, and resolve difficult operational issues.
• Translate business requirements into a best fit within the PeopleSoft 9.2 HCM application.
• Analyze the current business process, the business requirements, state/agency regulations and policies and collaborate with the respective stakeholders to streamline and standardize the business processes.
• Provide insight to the project team considering the agency HR office perspective as well as Business Services Center (BSC), Civil Service, Governor's Office of Employee Relations(GOER), and Division of Budget (DOB) perspectives.
• Assist in building partnerships with agencies and facilitate organizational change management.
• Facilitate clear, concise and direct communication; effectively communicate status of project details.
• Develop and maintain business process workflows, functional requirements documents, requirement traceability matrix, and use cases.
• Gather business objectives to perform analysis and transform them into fully defined business cases, business requirements and benefits realization.
• Lead and participate in all phases of testing including creation, documentation and execution of test plans, test scripts, and test scenarios.
• Participate in the development of a training plan and curriculum for the PeopleSoft applications.
• Work with the project management team to establish and monitor project tasks, risks and milestones.
• Act as a liaison between technical and functional teams.
• Collaborate with Project consultants as needed to successfully complete tasks.
• Foster and contribute to a culture grounded in people development, learning, problem solving, and teamwork.
• Perform the full range of supervisory responsibilities.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Seven (7) years or more of experience as a functional analyst/lead in PeopleSoft HCM - Core HR and Position Management.
• Five (5) years or more of the experience must have been working on a large PeopleSoft HCM implementation in a functional lead role, including designing, configuring and deploying PeopleSoft HCM system, conducting business process re-engineering and fit/gap analysis, acting as a liaison between technical and business teams, and documenting business requirements, functional requirements, application design and configurations, test plans, and scenarios.
• Two (2) years of hands on functional experience with Oracle PeopleSoft HCM version 9.2 in Core HR and Position Management.

The Marketing Automation Specialist is part of the marketing team for the Americas, and enables an effective promotion of the brand’s messages throughout the digital space. Possesses a deep domain knowledge of marketing automation, testing and analytics, and search engine optimization best practices; and uses this knowledge to drive improvements on programs and campaigns.

  • Hands-on experience on lead generation programs and campaigns. Has used CRM systems in the past and is familiar with objects and entities used in a B2B CRM system (accounts, contacts, etc.).
  • Extensive knowledge on search engine optimization, with certifications preferable.
  • Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use data to inform all decisions.
  • Capable of mentoring and educating other marketers on best practices.
  • Experience with email marketing, lead nurturing, marketing automation, and/or web analytics.

  • Manage all facets of the Eloqua platform – configuring, testing, launching, and maintaining programs
  • Collaborate with internal, and agency, marketing and business partners to ensure timely and high quality execution of email campaigns and programs
  • Manage all aspects of building a program/campaign in Eloqua, including building emails and landing pages, designing nurture/triggered programs, testing assets and programs, launching campaign, and troubleshooting issues
  • Manage the prospect database fields, build custom data objects
  • Manage Eloqua integrations with CRM, data warehouse, and other internal and external systems, apps and tools
  • Support the localization process for all global emails and landing pages, working with our localization team and vendors
  • Provide Eloqua support to internal, self-service users. Work with field marketing teams to educate them and support local needs
  • Continually develop our Eloqua expertise – identify and implement best practices, drive feature requests into the vendor, etc.
  • Test and QA Eloqua assets including emails, forms and landing pages

What You’ll Need

  • Eloqua expertise is an absolute requirement – certification is a plus
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in this field, either with a large B2B organization or ad/consulting agency
  • A. in Marketing, Technology, or related field
  • Adept at working in a high-pace organization with constant change – we’re constantly evolving
  • Amazing communication skills – both written and verbal
  • High EQ is a must
  • Follow-through and attention to detail – you don’t leave loose ends
  • Global experience a plus
  • Good understanding of B2B email/nurture marketing practices, engagement strategies, and anti-spam laws
