Marketing Communications Specialist

 

Purpose and Summary of position:

  • Craft the messaging and build a comprehensive marketing plan, with business product teams, for an assigned application area (“program”) to communicate and deliver business value across the buyer’s journey
  • Work with marketing manager to develop customer personas for the program – understand segments, capture customer needs / problems, what influences them, and when / where they gather information
  • Develop a cross-value chain understanding of competitive messaging, product positioning, and marketing execution to inform marketing strategy and to recommend pilots / experiments to test opportunities for differentiation.
  • Support the execution of marketing activities (e.g., program campaigns, webinars, e-mailers) in collaboration with regional, commercial, and functional colleagues
  • Recommend how to use available marketing channels to support the business in reaching commercial objectives
  • Assist commercial teams in preparing content for customer meetings, seminars, and exchanges in a specific program / platform area
  • Manage the program content library - audit existing content for relevance, identify gaps in content against personas and the customer purchase journey, and propose new content in relation to campaign efforts and commercial objectives

  Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related disciplines
  • Minimum 4 years of work experience; 3 years in marketing- or engagement- or creative-related roles
  • Creative Mindset - Thinking, Problem Solving, and Experimentation
  • Brand and Customer Development Planning
  • Creation and Execution of Marketing Programs and Campaign Strategies
  • Market Research Toolkit (incl. primary, secondary; interview, focus groups)
  • Project Management Skills
  • Analytical Mindset & Reporting Capability; Experience with multi-functional / matrixed teams
  • Great communications skills - written, verbal, presentations
  • Customer-orientation and mindset (i.e., connect marketing to commercial objectives to customer needs)

Desirable Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Work experience for a multi-national organization, with project experience outside United States
  • Experience with marketing automation (e.g., Oracle Marketing Cloud, Marketo) and customer relationship management (e.g., Salesforce, Dynamics CRM) applications
  • Experience with digital engagement platforms (e.g., Social Media, Webinars)
  • Experience with technical writing (e.g., white papers)
  • Knowledge of automotive value chains, markets, tiers, and trends

Marketing Communications Manager, Materials Solutions & Americas

 

Purpose and Summary of position:

 

  • Design and execute marketing programs that attract and nurture qualified leads for Celanese Materials Solutions (Globally) and within the region - in coordination with regional peers and in partnership with commercial and business teams
  • Understand and translate strategic and commercial objectives for Materials Solutions into global / regional marketing programs, engagement campaigns, and communications strategies - serve as the primary partner for the businesses to drive customer engagement with Celanese
  • Guide, support, and develop Marketing Communications Specialists in the creation of marketing programs and personas for their assigned platforms - provide strategic guidance, share best practices, and offer recommendations for experimentation / pilots
  • Coordinate with the Marketing Communications Manager for Acetyls Core to regionalize, tailor, and execute campaigns and events for those products within the Americas
  • Establish the budget and maintain accountability for performance of marketing initiatives against commercial objectives for leads, opportunities, and overall impact on Celanese
  • Identify opportunities for content development and suggest marketing opportunities (e.g., new messaging, channels, tone) that improve the overall effectiveness of Celanese's marketing efforts - engage all available communication channels and tactics
