One is participating in a discussion and one decides after posting a comment that this is no longer relevant. The only way to get rid of this comment is to delete it from the entire discussion.
The action taken is to click on the "Actions" link and a drop-down appears.
The option to "Delete" is selected.
This causes a confirmation message to pop-up with the wording "Delete Discussion". This is the eye catcher text and makes one wonder whether the entire discussion will be deleted. The secondary question "Are you sure you want to delete this message?" is also not very clearly stated although a tad better than "Delete Discussion".
The wording of the confirmation prompt and secondary question should more accurately state what the action is that will occur if the delete button is clicked.
- The "Delete Discussion" should be changed to read "Delete this Discussion comment" or "Delete this Discussion reply" .
- The secondary question be changed to "Are you sure you want to delete this comment?" or "Are you sure you want to delete this reply?"
This then clearly states what the selected action is and removes the element of ambiguity.
