I think the user interface could be improved by displaying links as standard links. Users shouldn't have to guess or scrub the page to find out where they can click. This may at least help newcomers to see what additional views or information is available. It applies to thread titles as well as documentation. For example:
There is no indication that "Rewards & Recognition FAQ" is a link to open the information. The same applies to many other aspects of the interface in the Inbox, etc. Normally, links are shown in different color, or use underline, or show a http prefix. There are certain guidelines that can easily be found using Google, for example: Guidelines for Visualizing Links
There is a setting in the user profile settings that allows to enable a "high-contrast color scheme", but it is not the default, generally looks more ugly in my opinion and uses the same blue color for links and other things, which is not consistent and does not really help.
