      Hi All,

I am new to Solaris. We do solaris 10 jump start installations in our account and foe this we have configured SUN V245 server as Jump start server and we carry out installations on the client that are customized Solaris 10 OS and other account packages combined as single shipment as we call to support our account activities. I see this typical problem when trying to do Jump one particular shipment on the client (SUN M3000). Please find the error output below :

Check whether DHCP is running at your jump server.

Boot your jumpstart client to OK prompt and run watch-net-all and observe wheter all the NICs are working. If only one NIC is found to be working, set it as default by devalias net <the device path>. Boot with boot - net:dhcp and try again.

Also, check your jumpstart configuration for the new client and check script output.

In my case, I got the error while using Custom WAN Jumpstart in a M3000. I was booting with a Solaris 10 u7 wanboot and miniroot. The solution was just to update the wanboot and miniroot files to Solaris 10 u9.
