I am having problem with java applet in the browser. I have embedded one java applet in the Firefox browser (latest one). The Java applet is having finger print reading functionality.
The problem is applet in the browser is not reading anything from the finger print reader until java console is opened in front of the browser.
without opening the java console the applet is not reading anything from the browser. please help me. I want with out opening console the applet has to read
Thanking you all
I'm not clear exactly what you mean by 'until Java console is opened'. Do you mean that you open it yourself and then the applet starts working? or that you have it set to auto-open and when it does the applet starts working? I would find it hard to believe in the former case, but the latter case is simply explained: the Java console doesn't auto-open until the JVM loads in the browser, so the applet can't run until then.
thank you all
the applet is not working until java console is open. Initially my applet in the browser not reading anything then after reading some forums, I changed the settings of JAVA Control Panel i.e Hide java console to show java console, when I restart my webpage again the java console is coming. If the java console is in front of the webpage the applet is reading, If I minimize the java console then it is not reading.
IF the java console is in front of the applet webpage, the applet is working properly. for reference please check the images. Thanking you
How indeed? You've been told you haven't made yourself clear, and you've said 'for reference please check the images', and we've asked 'what images', and you've said there are no images, and you're still expecting a solution to arise via some magical process?
you can post your images elsewhere and post links here.
But i'd suggest to start with enabling full trace details
and running with console hidden to reproduce your problem.
Check generated trace file - any exceptions or errors reported? Post content of the file here (it is text file).
If your applet is stuck - use jstack on the java process to get full stack trace. This way we can at least understand what is happening at that moment.
