    Client Side Caching (OCI)

    900212
      I am trying to make sure that client side result caching is working on the db. Is there a simple way to do this. Currently when I add a caching hint on a query I am able to see the query in result cache. I believe this is server side. When I do the two commands I know to query the client side I do not see any caching.

      Here are the client commands that I am running and not seeing a result:
      select * from v$client_result_cache_stats;
      select * from client_result_cache_stats$;

      I checked my parameters and they seem to be correct:

      SQL> col value format a14;
      select value from v$parameter where name='client_result_cache_size';SQL>

      VALUE
      --------------
      32768

      SQL> col value format a14;
      select value from v$parameter where name='client_result_cache_lag';SQL>

      VALUE
      --------------
      3000

          Query CLIENT_RESULT_CACHE_STAT$.

          Information such as the number of result sets successfully cached, number of cache hits, and number of cached result sets invalidated will be stored here
