We had a computer running BEA Workshop 3.2 that failed on us last week. We built a new system and reinstalled the software. I have the Order ID and Serial Number I need to activate it, but it tells me I need to go to https://dev2devclub.bea.com/nitroxActivate.do to activate the product. The website appears to be down, and I'm not sure if it even exists any more. Is that the right place to go? Is there another website?
I downloaded the license file for the version of WebLogic we use. Do I need to put the file in a certain location? Workshop is giving me an Activation Request code that it wants me to paste on to that website I can't access, and then I'm supposed to enter the Activation Text that the website would return.
Kalyan, just to clarify. The order id and serial number activation is most likely for Workshop Studio which is a BEA legacy product which required activation from a license server. This doesn't sound like a WebLogic Server licensing issue.
Workshop Studio is no longer supported (see Lifetime Support Policy page). Workshop for WebLogic 10.3 provides the same features (Apache Beehive, JSF, Struts, AppXRay, etc) as Workshop 10.2 but without all of the license checks.
Workshop for WebLogic 10.3 supports older versions of WebLogic Server, from 8.1 through 10.3. WebLogic Server 9.2 is supported.
