RTFM - Read The Fine Manuals
- Thanks & Regards
Can you please explain what is the meaning of the following statment:
alter procedure write_in_log_extend compile
It comiles the specified procedure and check for invalidations..
For more info.. you can go through the docs..
You can see all dependencies for a object in dba_dependencies, when un object asociated to the chain is touch is typical other objects get invalid status.
Be more conscious while compiling the procedure in production. As this will invalidates the cursor cache and sql statement had to be reparsed again. Which means affect the performance.
Please explain why you can't use the SQL Language Reference Manual or the PL/SQL reference Manual for your unknown version of Oracle.
Kindly also indicate whether you plan to continue to ask doc questions, so I can put you on the list of people of whom I don't read any 'contribution'.
