    JAX-WS

I have few questions regarding JAX-WS.
      a) Does the client have to be java centric or can use any other technology.
      b) What is the preferrable method - bottom up or top down.

      Thanks,

Its SOAP, it can be any technology that support SOAP. In theory, because SOAP isn't as solid a standard as it should be.

I have no clue what you are referring to here.

whether you start developing from the wsdl or from the service implementation (not sure which is the bottom) is for the most part a matter of convenience (do you already have one of those? if so, use it). however, i would say that in general, designing the wsdl/schema first and developing from that results in a cleaner webservice API.
