I set the af:treeTable value to a ChildPropertyTreeModel returned from a method in my region bean. When I expand one of the nodes of the treeTable by clicking it with the mouse, the region method that creates the tree is called again. Is there a way to prevent it from reloading the tree? The region's constructor is also called again.
in your bean you can check if the tree has been built. If so, don't build it again and instead return the previously created tree model instance. When expanding a node, the component tries to fetch additional data, which is why it accesses the model
