did you tried to edit the database connection in Destination? first try to edit the database connections from 'database connection manager' with dev application/user details and try to change the connections, it may work. we had same issue, after migration first edited db connections and then tried to change database connection for other reports. it worked.
i tried as u said but no result.
You most likely have special characters within the name of your report, remove them and try again.
Please delete that existing connection from Database Connection Manager and again migrate single Report and this time when you are Migrating Report please create a new connection for that report and after that whenever you are migrating a reports please use that created database connection.
Path for the Database Connection manager is
Go to the Explorer tab in the Workspace then click on the Tools, there is the option of Database Connection Manager.
After selecting that particular connection with which that report is connected Delete that connection.
I hope it will help you.
Thanks & Regards
I have migrated all the FR reports from prod environment to dev environment as a part of testing the activity. When I am trying to change the database connections in dev env. I am getting an error "nested exception is: java.lang.NullPointerException.
My problem resembles what exactly mentioned above in the thread -
1.When I am trying to change the database connection after selecting the report I am getting the above mentioned error message and the reference database connection dropdown which I want to select is showing the empty list and the replace dropdown database connection is listing all the databases.
2.Change database connection is working for some reports but all the reports are up and running in the prod environment.
Environment: Hyperion 18.104.22.168
I have tried the ways you guys posted in the thread, and it did not work for me. Not sure if I tried those in correct way.
Can anyone please respond to my issue. Thanks in advance.
Raj - Is your issue solved....if so can you please mention the steps to resolve this issue ? Thanks in advance
I had the same issue, in my case system did not like that in the name of report there was a "," - comma. Once I removed it, error message was gone.
