    Counter monitor for JMS queues

      So I DID actually get this working. Took days.

      Breathed a sigh of relief.

      Returned to work the next day, and it is once again not working. I changed nothing. Kept the working config set aside:

      <snmp-agent-deployment>
      <name>ServerSNMPAgent-0</name>
      <enabled>true</enabled>
      <send-automatic-traps-enabled>true</send-automatic-traps-enabled>
      <snmp-port>1161</snmp-port>
      <snmp-trap-version>1</snmp-trap-version>
      <community-prefix>public</community-prefix>
      <snmp-trap-destination>
      <name>TrapDestination-0</name>
      <host> our wls host </host>
      <port>162</port>
      <community>public</community>
      <security-level>noAuthNoPriv</security-level>
      </snmp-trap-destination>
      <snmp-counter-monitor>
      <name>SNMPCounterMonitor-0</name>
      <monitored-m-bean-type>JMSServerRuntime</monitored-m-bean-type>
      <monitored-m-bean-name> queue we're monitoring </monitored-m-bean-name>
      <monitored-attribute-name>MessagesCurrentCount</monitored-attribute-name>
      <polling-interval>10</polling-interval>
      <threshold>2</threshold>
      <offset>0</offset>
      <modulus>0</modulus>
      </snmp-counter-monitor>
      <community-based-access-enabled>true</community-based-access-enabled>
      <snmp-engine-id>ServerSNMPAgent-0</snmp-engine-id>
      <authentication-protocol>MD5</authentication-protocol>
      <privacy-protocol>noPriv</privacy-protocol>
      <inform-retry-interval>10000</inform-retry-interval>
      <max-inform-retry-count>1</max-inform-retry-count>
      <localized-key-cache-invalidation-interval>3600000</localized-key-cache-invalidation-interval>
      <snmp-access-for-user-m-beans-enabled>true</snmp-access-for-user-m-beans-enabled>
      <inform-enabled>false</inform-enabled>
      <master-agent-x-port>1162</master-agent-x-port>
      <target>AdminServer</target>
      </snmp-agent-deployment>

      Anyone? Is the problem the way I'm testing? I'm clearing this queue and manually inserting messages with a 3rd party tool to raise the current message count.

      Is there something wrong with this version of the product? It's WLS 10.3.4 on Linux x64(OEL 5.4) The googles have nothing to say that I haven't nearly memorized.
