Status Down
Details : TNS-12541 : TNS : no listener

Agent connection to Instance
Status : Failed
Details : ORA – 12541 : TNS : no Listener ( DBD Error : OCIServer Attach )

Someone can suggest the solution

    issue following OS commands

    lsnrctl start
    lsnrctl status
    lsnrctl service

    COPY commands & results then PASTE all back here

    TNS -12541 TNS No listener
    TNS -12560 TNS : Protocol adapter error
    TNS 0051 : No Listener
    Linux Error : 111 : connection refused

    line above indicates that OS/Networking misconfiguration exists.

    post results from following OS commands

    uname -a
    cat /etc/hosts
    cat /etc/hostname

    the result are

    uname -a
    linux rhel5.Azhar-PC 2.6.18-8.el5 #1 SMP Fri Jan......i386 GNU/Linux

    cat /etc/hosts
    ::1 localhost6.localdomain6 localhost6
    192.168.1.3 rhel5.Azhar-PC rhel.Azhar-PC

    cat /etc/hostname
    No Such File or Directory

    and sqlnet.ora contents are

    NAMES.DIRECTORY_PATH= ( TNSNAMES, EZCONNECT )
    THIS IS THE ONLY ONE LINE AND OTHER TWO LINES IN THIS FILE ARE REMAARK STARTING WITH #

    wHEN i GET INTO rhel5 BY USER : ORACLE AND PASSWORD : ORACLE

    THIS IS THE ERROR COMES
    User’s $HOME/.dmrc file is being ignored. This prevents the default session and language from saved. File should be owned by user and have 644 permissions. Users $HOME directory must be owned by user and not writable by other users.

    And one more thing... at the last stage while running root.sh script... it ask me to write the full path of local bin directory.... I mentioned

    /usr/bin

    The two lines immediately above bother me.
    Why ZERO receive (RX) packets?

    Also I can not reconcile this observation with other seemingly normal network activity

    Please check my post no 68 above .... can you get something from their.... because those were the only abnormal activity...
