The Oracle® Spatial Developer's Guide
11g Release 2 (11.2)
Part Number E11830-10
at http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/appdev.112/e11830/sdo_migrat.htm#CHDBCHBG it describes, in painstaking detail, how to ensure the Spatial Web Services must be configured for OC4J.
Unfortunately, OC4J is part of the now past-Extended-Support Application Server product.
It would be quite useful to replace, or supplement, that section with a section that describes how to configure for Oracle's current and supported WebLogic Server environment. It might actually encourage people to upgrade to the WLS, which, in turn, might encourage some additional revenue.
Thanks. However, the specific link you mention goes to Section A.3, but there's no mention of OC4J in that appendix. Did you instead mean Section 10.3 "Setting Up the Client for Spatial Web Services" (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/appdev.112/e11830/sdo_webserv_intro.htm#BABIAAEC)?
In any case, you are definitely right that the Spatial Developer's Guide should add and enhance WebLogic Server information. This is being addressed for future published versions of the book.
Also, if you have any specific suggested text to add or change, please feel free to provide the details either in a reply here or using the "Reader Comment" area at the bottom of the HTML page for the section(s) in question.
