Heterogeneous Servers Cluster

Hi all,

Is supported to have a Oracle Solaris Cluster with a mix of Solaris Servers and LDoms?
For example, a SF15K domain and a LDoms guest in the same cluster.

Thanks in advance,
AB

To the best of my knowledge this is supported.

    Thanks Tim.

I have more doubt about the procedure we are planning.
We have a four node cluster with four sf15k domains.
We would like to migrate the cluster to a four node cluster with T4-4 ldoms guest nodes, adding ldom nodes and deleting sf15 domain nodes.
We are plannig to upgrade to Sun Cluster 3.3 and Solaris 10 8/11 (u10), because we have found that T4-4 ldoms need Ldoms Manager 2.1, SunCluster 3.3 and Solaris 10 8/11 (u10).
We are using Veritas Volume Manager with CVM.

And we do not find that Veritas Volume Manager with CVM 5.x is supported with Solaris 10 8/11 (u10). Do you know if it is or is coming?

    Thanks in advance.

You are correct, it would appear that VxVM/CVM 5.x is not available for OSC 3.3 and Solaris 10 8/11. Unfortunately, I can't comment on future product plans.

If you need the CVM function, I'm assuming you are using Oracle Real Application Clusters. If so, do you really need VxVM any more? Wouldn't simply using ASM be a better option?

    Regards,
