I am trying to deploy a demo plugin on Oracle enterprise manager 12c. I have created the plugin opar file on a host and now i need to import the .opar file to deploy it.
For which i need to run the emcli import_update command. I am not sure whether to execute this emcli command on the server where the OEM has been installed or on the server where i have created the .opar file. The server on which i created the plugin opar file is a weblogic server and is set as one of the target to the oracle eneterprise manager.
The command that i am trying tom execute is:
./emcli import_update -omslocal -file=/tmp/220.127.116.11.0_oracle.sysman.ohs_2000_0.opar
where 18.104.22.168.0_oracle.sysman.ohs_2000_0.opar is the plugin file.

You can import it from either the OMS server using the -omslocal switch, or you can copy the plug-in opar file to any server that has the agent installed on it. Importing from the OMS server is the easiest, while doing it from the agent requires you to create credentials.
All emcli verbs are self documenting. So run the command below to see examples and documentation.
./emcli help import_update
Thanks that post was helpful.I now have both my oms and emcli client on the same server.
But now I am facing another problem.
After executing the command ./emcli import_update -omslocal -file="file_name.opar" I am getting an error
"Internal Error: Import of update failed. Error: Error uploading archives to local store".
