    Hi,

    I can't think of too much else. If you are on a 64-bit system, you might need to do the same link in /lib64 .

    You could also try running the jssu command as root and through strace e.g.

    strace -f jssu << EOF >/tmp/strace.out
    username
    password
    1
    /bin/echo
    1
    Hi

    EOF

    The output may point you to what is going wrong. My best guess is some sort of pam configuration or lockdown.

    Hi Chris

    I had the same issue as yourself with jssu and 11g XE, it looks like you missed the setting up the symbolic link for the 64 bit version since XE is 64 bit

    e.g.

    ln -s /lib64/libpam.so.0 /lib64/libpam.so

    Cheers

    Hi Ravi,

    Can you please help me to resolve this error "launching external job failed:Invalid username and password" error# 27370? I tried every possible way but I keep getting the same error over and over again. Please let me know if I am missing anything.

    I have installed the scheduler agent on windows server 2008 R2  and the database server is also on a different windows server 2008 R2.

    This is the code that I am trying to run

    begin

    dbms_scheduler.create_credential(

                             credential_name =>'sindhu_win_cred',

                             username  => 'sindhu',

                             password => 'password',

                             windows_domain => 'da.infroot.local');

    end;

    /

    ---creating job

    begin

    dbms_scheduler,create_job (

                             job_name =>'TEST',

                             job_type => 'EXECUTABLE',

                             job_action => 'C:\windows\system32\cmd.exe',

                             number_of_arguments =>3,

                             auto_drop =>false,

                             enabled => false);

    dbms_scheduler.set_job_argument_value ('TEST', 1, '/c');

    dbms_scheduler.set_job_argument_value ('TEST', 2, 'mkdir');

    dbms_scheduler.set_job_argument_value ('TEST', 1, 'C:\TEMP\TEST'');

    dbms_scheduler.set_attribute ('TEST', 'credential_name', 'sindhu_win_cred');

    dbms_scheduler.set_attribute ('TEST', destination', 'inftest-dev-db01:1500');

    dbms_scheduler.enable('TEST');

    END;

    Thanks,

    Sindhu
