We want only Middle Tier to be migrate as first steps to OEL 5 64bit OS, and keeping running the Database on Sun 32bit. Please tell me, if it is possible to run Oracle EBS 11iR2 on OEL 5 64bit and Database 9iR2 on Sun 32bit?You cannot run the middle tier on a 64-bit OS, only the database tier node is supported on 64-bit OS.
I have another question, which that document you mentioned above does not talk about. Can I run a cross platform Oracle EBS. I meant the oracle apps application Tiers on Linux 4 32bit and Database Tier on Sun 32bit (which is our current system)Doc 343917.1 (which is referenced above) talks about this -- This is called (Split Configuration).
I need little more description please let me know, what if we have a Concurrent and Web Server running on Database tier. Can I still have 64bit Database tier with these two server running on same machine? The CM is part of the application tier node and is not certified on a 64-bit OS (only the database tier node is certified to run on 64-bit OS).
or these need to be on 32bit was well?
Please let me know, what will be license requirement for migrating Oracle EBS 11i to Linux 32/apps and Linux64/RDBMS?Please contact your Oracle Sales representative; he/she is the best one to answer license questions/queries.
