What are "rewards points"?
It is possible for you to reward an answerer 5 points for a "helpful" answer or 10 points for a "correct" one (or none at all). Users who accumulate certain amounts of points reach different levels of recognition (see legend). In this manner, users who offer consistently helpful or correct answers raise their standing in the community. (Note: in order to award points, you must identify your post as a "question" first - which is set as default.)
I just checked thread which had 0 answers so far: HELP required in table
For the thread the upper region with counters states:
This question is not answered. Helpful answers available: 5. Correct answers available: 1.
Also when I marked your answer as helpful, it didn't update this threads counters to what I expexted: Helpful answers available: 1 Correct answers available: 0.
For me for some reason the counters state "Helpful answers available: 5. Correct answers available: 1." for several messages.
This question is not answered. Helpful answers available: 4. Correct answers available: 1.
You did mark my answer helpful, and you can still mark 4 answers as helpful and one as correct.
You can not mark one answer multiple helpful/correct.
Hmm. I have on your first answer a star and text "helpful" for your second answer I have 2 buttons "helpful" and "correct". I pressed the helpful for the first answer.
For this thread there are no counters just "new answers" indication.
Also when I am now replying to your second answer I have 2 radio's with "Yes, my question.." and "No, my question has not been answered yet."
Somehow would expect to see 3 radio's
1.) Yes, my question has been answered
2.) No, my question is not yet answered but this reply was helpful.
3.) No, my question is not yet answered (hmm.. implicitly not helpful :).
Should the counters say then perhaps something like this:
"This discussion thread has 2 helpful answers and 0 correct answers."
"Reward points available for 3 (max. 5) helpful answers and for 1 correct answer."
