      Hi gurus,

      I have a unix machine.

Oracle 11g installed in another unix machine.

I would like to develop a webpage from where sql query can be done from oracle db and display in page.

And also update some of the table's fields in Oracle DB through that webpage.

How can I start developing this? Like should install apache web server? I am newbie, please advise steps to go.

There's a lot to chew on here - I might suggest finding a good book on web development like one of the O'Reilly "Head First" series; you'll also have to choose your programming language (Perl or PHP is a good starting spot for creating simple web apps.)

In short, install Apache, choose a language and install the interpreter (like mod_perl, mod_php) and find a good tutorial, either with books or tutorials on the website of the language of your choice.
