in query data sources arguments write the argument name and in value write :block.item1 person found this helpful
If I put the value for the argument as :block.item1 , Forms converts it like this way ':block.item1' => as strings and makes call to procedure.
actually I want exact value in :block.item1.
i have an example that runs really
in the block property
query data source arguments you have a two sections
one argument names there write the name of argument at right type the type of parameter , mode in and value :block1.name then pass the value to the procedure
I did exactly the same way you mentioned.
But while building the form, The call to the procedure in 'QUERY-PROCEDURE' trigger has been modified like this way
so in procedure i am getting the value as ':BLOCK.ITEM' not the expected value.
here is 1 a.m. in 8 hours i will go to my job
here i have an a form of production and i will check the trigger and answer you
Thanks a lot.
Thanks Daniel. Now It it is working fine.
Initially I have given the value like this NVL(:BLOCK.ITEM,1) so it has been converted to 'NVL(:BLOCK.ITEM,1)';
Now i changed to :BLOCK.ITEM but it is not converted.
It is working fine. thanks a lot
