    jrockit update

      Good day,
How do we update jrockit? with sun java (No longer sun I know) there is a control panel update that I can use but with Jrockit I don't see that. Any thoughts?

JRockit does not have any fancy (GUI based) upgrade tool.
It is as simple as replacing the old binary files with the new one.
          You have two options:
          OPTION 1:
          - Uninstall the existing JRockit OR delete the files in the directory AND
          - Install the new JRockit in the same directory.
          OPTION 2:
          - Leave alone the old installation and
          - Choose a new directory for the new version installation.
          - Then change the environment variable, JAVA_HOME, in all your scripts and while starting the JVM to the newly installed location.
For example, when running old jrockit you would say, > D:\Middleware\jrockit_160_29_D1.2.0-10\bin\java -Xmx1024m weblogic.Server
when running new jrockit you would say, > D:\Middleware\jrockit-jdk1.6.0_29-R28.2.2-4.1.0\bin\java -Xmx1024m weblogic.Server
