    workflow timeout using j2ee

    276437
      Hello,

My project uses JSP, JBoss and jBPM. After a user takes over a Task, I want to give him some time limit to complete it. If it gets timed out, I want to re-claim that task from the user and replace that Task page with a timeout error page. I also want to renew the time limit if he takes an action. What are the possible solutions?

      Thank you.

Going to the JBoss forums and asking your question in the proper forum. Here, I'll be nice and give you the link:

            Thanks for your response.

Since this problem involves many technologies, I thought about asking here first hoping someone would know a way or two just using the J2EE technology.

So, while I will certainly visit the link you have provided, I would still leave my question as unanswered so that others may chime in.

            Thanks again.

              All,

Here is an update I've found from the JBoss forum. By reading https://community.jboss.org/thread/197272?tstart=30 seems that they will implement this/similar functionality in version 5.3 (and we use 5.1).

So, now what are my J2EE side options?

              Thank you.
