For purchased items, due date is calculated by looking at the Finished good demand date (such as sales order ship date).
Then Oracle backs out the manufacturing time (based on routing) and arrives at a date/time when the component is needed on the assembly line.
This is the due date.
Oracle then subtracts the Post processing lead time and arrives at the date/time the purchased material should arrive on the receiving dock. This is the need-by-date on the purchase order.

I was just searching here and there for the proper information.
Can you just tell me one more thing? Is anywhere Oracle BI or ETL takes "Original Promised date" into consideration along with Need By Date?
Is it possible to copy paste the calculation here? If not then no issues.
