Is there a functionality available in SSHR to maintain this “Return to Duty” date?
There is not any such seeded functionality is there in SSHR.
As you said that you have a DFF field to maintain the “Return to Duty” date field.
Same DFF you can enable in SSHR in Absence Page using personlization.
I have already enabled the DFF while launching the leave. The user can enter it at the time of submiting the Leave.
However when the employee returns from Leave, HR wants him to enter the return to duty date and send for approval again.
This is not possible since you cannot update a leave record that is in the past.
I wanted to know if any other functionality exists in R12 for the same. But came to know there is nothing as per our requirement.
Thanks for the prompt reply.
We have decided to use an SIT to capture the "Return to duty" date.
I want to add validations to the SIT fields and stop the user from submitting the SIT for approval if the data is not correct.
Eg. the user should enter the absence type, start date, end date and return to duty date.
In case the user enters wrong values, the validations should trigger an error message.
Once the user enters these information correctly and sends it for approval.
At the time of final approval the value should also be updated in the per_absences_attendances table.
Can anybody tell me
1. How to call the api for updation (to update per_absence_attendances) when the final approver approves the SIT.
2. How to call the validations package for the SIT when the user enters the data. (For leaves we have used a user hook.)
I created a package XX_SSHR_VALID_LRA_PKG and within this package wrote a procedure EMP_LEAVE_RETURN_VALIDATION
I created the user hook and registered the user hook
When I query the above procedure , I can see my package defined in it.
The problem is when I launch the SIT from SSHR the validation does not occur.
It just goes for approval to the manager.
When the final approver aprroves and the SIT is getting created in the database at that time the validation fires the error message.
How can I make the employee see the message before he clicks the submit button for aproval.
I have used before process and not after process.
hr_sit_bk1.create_sit_b (Create, Before)
hr_sit_bk1.create_sit_a (Create, After)
I have used hr_sit_bk1.create_sit_b which is before process.
How are you people validating the SIT when created through SSHR?
The function FND_FLEX_PLSQL.VALIDATE does not have person_id as one of the parameters, hence could not use it.
