If you have a two user install (typically oracle and applmgr), then you need to run addlnctl.sh and addbctl.sh using the oracle account. This is clearly described in the documentation.I did use the same login by which I installed EBS with a success.

Please review the docs referenced in my previous reply. Also, please post the contents of the /etc/hosts file.
