I am using JDeveloper 126.96.36.199. I have a requirement wherein I need an af:inputListOfValue as a component. I want this page loads up with empty value in the af:inputListOfValue. I should hold the value only when the user selects the value from the popup of LOV. For example, something which is similar to a combo box with empty value selected by default.
Can somebody suggest a solution to achieve it?

Check "Blank Item at Start of List" option when creating the LOV for an attribute in UIHints section of the LOV in ADF BC layer.
This will ensure you have blank item for the LOV unless there is a value already persisted in the DB.
The option that you have said gets enabled only when "Choice List" is selected in default list type. But I selected "Input text with list of values" in that. If this is selected "Blank item....." gets disabled.
Am I doing anything wrong here or is there any other way to achieve it?
I am not able to solve it yet. The workaround that you have provided may not work in my case since I may need to add a lot of blank rows in various tables.
But anyways, appreciate your help.
