In newer releases, most customers prefer to use the "thin t3 client" (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17904_01/web.1111/e13717/wlthint3client.htm#BABJBHIJ). The thin t3 client provides a nice combination of high performance, features, and small size.

A couple of notes:
* WebLogic only supports one type of client in a JVM - behavior is undefined if jars from different clients are mixed into the same classpath.
* Server side WebLogic applications already have the equivalent of a "full jar client" in their classpath - do not add client jars to a WebLogic Server's classpath...
