Hi,

Here is the Environment config:

E-Bus Base Version 12.0.4

DB Tier Node - HP-UX ITanium 11.31
DB Version 10.2.0.4

Apps Tier Node : Redhat Enterprise Linux 5 Update 8 64-bit

What was done:

1) APps TIer migrated from RHEL 4.0 32-bit to RHEL 5 Update 8 64-bit. App was working fine. start and stop apps tier services worked fine after the migration.
2) 10.1.3 home on Apps Tier upgraded to 10.1.3.5.0. App was working fine. start and stop apps tier services worked fine after the upgrade.
3) 10.1.2 home on Apps Tier upgraded to 10.1.2.3.0. App was working fine. start and stop apps tier services worked fine after the upgrade.
4) JDK on the apps tier upgraded from 1.5.0_22 to 1.6.0_32 and JRE on the DB Tier Side upgraded from 1.5.0_08 to 1.6.0_14. Apps works fine. adstrrtal.sh works fine. adstpall.sh return a status of 2. But all the serverices are shutdown.
5) If I try to restart the services with adstral.sh, it returns a status of 0.
6) I will try autoconfig on the apps tier as I have done that after the JDK upgrade.

Please help me in identifying the issue.

Thanks

Please post the contents of the adstpall.sh log file.

Can you access the application with no issues?
    6) I will try autoconfig on the apps tier as I have done that after the JDK upgrade.
Please do and update the thread then.

    Thanks,

    Thanks Hussein.

    Autoconfig did not help.

The symptoms are very simiilar to what is explained in note (R12: Stopping OPMN Managed J2EE Processes Results In Timeout [ID 566142.1]. The note suggests to apply the patch 7139320. I tried downloading the patch but the patch is avaialble for 10.1.3.3.0 and 10.1.3.40 versions of 10.1.3 home. But my environment is at 10.1.3..5.0. I am debating whehter to go ahead with the patch or not. I am backinng up the Apps Tier and then try that patch.

    Will let you know.

    THanks again.

This patch is not applicable to 10.1.3.5.0

adstrtal.sh works fine and resturns a status of 0.

I can access the app and run concurrent requests and all the ICM are up and running.

Script adstpall.sh completes with a status of 2. But the services are shutdown cleanly and there are no processes for APPLMGR user.
