Hi,
I installed fmw 11.1.1.4 on 64 bit windows system.Everyting is working fine but while starting BAM managed server its not starting properly,
In em and WL the bam server is showing up state, but in deployed application oracle-bam is showing down state.
Any suggestion...

*I created the domain selecting all dev mode.
*I've one admin server where soa+osb running and one bam managed server.

In EM, under Weblogic Domain | <DomainName> | <BAM server>, you can view logs information. Check both logs (ie: bam_server.log or bam_server-diagnostic.log to see any errors during startup.

    Hi,
Please make sure that the JMS server (for the WLS where BAM is installed) is up and running. And also see if the topic topic/oracle.bam.messaging.systemobjectnotification is defined/hosted or not on this JMS server.

If there are any issues with the ones I listed above, please try reinstalling BAM.

    Thanks,
    Venkatesh.

i am also facing the same issue.
state of oracle-bam (11.1.1) In WLS Console ->Deployments->oracle-bam (11.1.1) is showing 'installed.'
I also checked the BAM server status ..it's UP. but I am unable to access the BAM Url. it gives the following error..

    Error 404--Not Found
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
    10.4.5 404 Not Found
The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent.

If the server does not wish to make this information available to the client, the status code 403 (Forbidden) can be used instead. The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through some internally configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address.

If you are working with PS3 (11.1.1.4) and selected developers template for creating the domain, then by default few applications does not get targetted to respective servers. If you want to use them then you have to manually traget them to appropriate server. Target the "oracle-bam (11.1.1)" application to BAM server manually. I don't want to promote my own blog but I have blogged about the same here -

Getting the same issue on BAM Managed Server Startup:

When I check deployments from WLS Console, oracle-bam (11.1.1) shows as Failed.

Starting the oracle-bam (11.1.1) app fixes the problem. But when I reboot the bam_server1, problem will occur again.

Seems to be looking for topic/oracle.bam.messaging.systemobjectnotification during startup but that's not available until the BAM Server starts up.

I put BAM together with SOA developer config... Is there a targetting issue here?

Did anyone of you find a solution to this? One of my client is running into the same issue.

My issue was that we installed the BAM server not listening on out-of-the-box AdminServer port :7001. BAM now works fine after reinstalling it on AdminServer port :7001.

(Just a note that one can change the AdminServer listen port either from Console or in a wsdl script. In our case we needed to reinstall anyway.)
