Hi all,

I have a two nodes RAC cluster 11GR2.
Since this morning, i have a problem.
When we connect to the database, all my sessions logged on instance 2 and never on instance 1.
SCAN and TAF service seems to be correctly configured.

Could you help me please ?

Thanks.

    Since this morning, i have a problem.
    Any changes between yesterday and today? Did instance 1 go down in between this time ? What is the value set for remote_listener parameter? Is the tnsping to remote_listener working?

    Yes, remote listener and tnsping are OK :

    SQL> show parameter remote_listener

    NAME TYPE VALUE
    ------------------------------------ ----------- ------------------------------
    remote_listener string rac-cluster-lpt-scan:1521

    from your client do
    nslookup rac-cluster-lpt-scan

    then repeat several times.

    If DNS round robin is on, youll see the order of the IPs rotating. If its not, check with networks to see did they change something.

    No, it never change.
    I have only one SCAN IP corresponding to rac-cluster-lpt-scan.

    Hi,

    Can you try to reset the remote listener which will force pmon from remote nodes to register it on node 1-

    alter system set remote_listener='';

    alter system set remote_listener='rac-cluster-lpt-scan:1521';
