What about disable automatic update of the client's machine no ?! :)
Specify the JRE version you want to run as seen here: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/family-clsid-140615.html
so for using any JRE 1.6 use
Tnx for help, but...
First, i would like to avoid doing anything on client machine (many clients).
I have already change class id to: clsid:CAFEEFAC-0016-0000-FFFF-ABCDEFFEDCBA
and mime type to application/x-java-applet;version=1.6.
I don't have problems with forms 11g R2 11.1.2 (so far), but i need to configure forms 10g 10.1.2.3 to avoid this problems.
Can i use parameter java_version (only for IE)?
Only IE would call an older version of java when more than one is installed. And it would have to have SSV enabled
What about this:
Forms 10g 10.1.2.3 and 11G R2 with java 7:
Put -Djava.vendor="Sun Microsystems Inc." in Java options for Java 1.7.
Thanks for the tip!
does that mean that every time java would update itself this config would have to be changed on every machine?
don't get me wrong I think this is helpful. Just wondering about the details.
Also some os don't have java consoles. So this goes in some file somewhere?
3-4 months before this workaround worked.
Now I wanted to test it again. With java 1.7u03 and also with 1.7u15
The parameter entry I made. In the Java Control Panel Djava.vendor = "Sun Microsystems Inc." entered.
I uninstalled Java 6.
and I still get the error
FRM-92095: Oracle Jinitiator version too low - Please install version 188.8.131.52 or higher
is still installed jdk 1.6
Can that be a problem.
i have try this:
import java.util.* ;
public static void main(String args)
System.out.println("java.version =" + System.getProperty("java.version") ) ;
System.out.println("java.vendor =" + System.getProperty("java.vendor") ) ;
C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7\bin>java getvendor
java.vendor =Oracle Corporation
C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7\bin>java -Djava.vendor="Sun Microsystems Inc."
java.vendor =Sun Microsystems Inc.
have a feeling that the parameter in the Java Control Panel Djava.vendor = "Sun Microsystems Inc." does not go !!!!!!!

Does it work when you set it with JAVAOPTIONS?
Anyway; if you apply the latest patches for forms 10.1.2.3 (which is 10.1.2.3.1 or 10.1.2.3.2 if memory serves) the problem should be solved. I don't remember the exact patch number, but if you search for 10.1.2.3.1 or 2 on MOS you should get right to them.
where can I set the JAVAOPTIONS?
JAVAOPTIONS is an environment variable:
