It seems , that the previous issue has been resurfaced . Few archive logs are getting deleted automatically at the standby site. I will enable audit on that folder tell you the result tomorrow.
Also , is there any way to store audit records to a single file automatically ? which can be easily read and searched. If I cant work it out using audit_trail as db , then I have to work this out at least.

Can you post the results of these two things from your Standby?
SELECT ROUND((A.SPACE_LIMIT / 1024 / 1024 / 1024), 2) AS FLASH_IN_GB, ROUND((A.SPACE_USED / 1024 / 1024 / 1024), 2) AS FLASH_USED_IN_GB, ROUND((A.SPACE_RECLAIMABLE / 1024 / 1024 / 1024), 2) AS FLASH_RECLAIMABLE_GB, SUM(B.PERCENT_SPACE_USED) AS PERCENT_OF_SPACE_USED FROM V$RECOVERY_FILE_DEST A, V$FLASH_RECOVERY_AREA_USAGE B GROUP BY SPACE_LIMIT, SPACE_USED , SPACE_RECLAIMABLE ;
SQL> show parameter db_recovery_file_dest_size
db_recovery_file_dest_size is set to zero at both standby and primary.
I will run the other query and tell you the result.
Here is the out put of the query you posted.
FLASH_IN_GB FLASH_USED_IN_GB FLASH_RECLAIMABLE_GB PERCENT_OF_SPACE_USED

Not sure if this will matter after rereading all your posts from both question but I think I would try setting this on both.
Maybe start with something small and see if the issue changes :
alter system set db_recovery_file_dest_size=2g scope=both;

RE: " Keep in mind the DB setting will come back to haunt you if you ever do a switchover.?"The statement above was not clear to me.
Can you please tell me, which if any of the following would be okay (that is, not cause problems on switchover) on a *10g* db with data guard?
1. primary audit_trail= DB, and standby audit_trail= OS
2. primary audit_trail= DB, and standby audit_trail= NONE
3. primary audit_trail= OS, and standby audit_trail= OS
4. primary audit_trail= OS, and standby audit_trail= NONE
