we are planning to istall OBIEE 126.96.36.199.
The architecture we want to implement is to istall the Data base 11.2 (1.p) on one box and OBIEE on the other server box (2.p) is this the recommended approach to istall OBIEE?
if so how can we maintain the connectivity at the time of failovers.
I am trying to find out how the integration works at the time of failovers when they do Data guards?
1.p is the Database
2.p is the OBIEE box
3.p is Data Base recovery machine
4.p is OBIEE recovery machine
1.p ---- 2.p ( works fine)
but if 1.p or 2.p fails how will we configure
1.p with 4.p
3.p with 2.p
3.p with 4.p
Please help me.
In your case you have to implement Clustering suppose one server goes down then another server automatically up.
Data recovery path: OBIEE all the files stored in shared location no need to worry about that.
Oracle database also you have to implement clustering part ,I guess are you using RAC database servers am write? -- If yes it is easy to configured cluster implementation in your database also.
Hope this help's
