I wanted to update the filters using the values in EXCEL table. In other words, after the filters are updated I could see the values for the current month. It would make it easier for users. Any ideas?
As filters would be used by users in their report, they could see the current value in the criteria. I am updating the filters with current month values and would like to automate this part.
You can use dashboard prompt http://www.rittmanmead.com/2006/08/adding-parameter-drop-downs-to-oraclebi-dashboards/ with default value. In filter you set to monitor and values from prompt go to filter.
