Please check if the profile 'MSC: Use Shipping/Receiving Calendar' is set to 'No' at the site level.
if yes then change it to 'Yes' and try to retest the issue.
This issue is also described in OM Forum:
This forum entry outlines the issue that you encounter: ATP is not using the Shipping Calendar.
The note also explains that the issue is caused by a setup similar to what you have. Incorrect schedule ship date is the result.
Thanks Arif ! But I am not able to open this link. It will be great if you paste body of this discussion against my reply.
Thanks in advance / Dipak
It opened for me for 1st time!!!
I got this from metalink....unfortunately not opened again.
will try to check for some other notes.
Could not find any relavent notes in Metalink.
I assume that you done the following
1) After defining the shipping calander you have build the calander(tools-->Build)
2) set the profile to Yes('MSC: Use Shipping/Receiving Calendar')
3) Ran collections after the above changes.
Thanks Arif for update. Above mentioned setup is in place and even ATP is working fine if you ignore this scheduling calender concept. While going through some metalink doc, come to know that we have to assign carrier to this particular ship to along with 'shipping calender'. So my understanding is correct ?
Thanks / Dipak
Yes,your understanding is correct.
To Summarize following are the required steps.
1.Profile settings at the Site Level:
a. MSC: Use Shipping/Receiving Calendars. = Yes
b. INV: Capable to Promise = ATP Based on Collected Data ORATP/CTP Based on planning data.
2.Setup the Calendar for required days
3.Setup of Freight Carriers and Ship Methods and assign to organizations
4.Create the Calendar Assignment for the Organization / Shipping / Carrier
5.Assign Ship Method to Customer
7.Assign Transit Times to Region
8.Run Data Collections and ASCP ATP Plan.
9.Enter Sales orders and observe results
Thanks Arif, but is it necessery to define region and then shipping method to region.. ? I can assign shipping method directly to customer ship to location. I have done the same, but still it is failing to populate correct date.. fyi - we are using ATO based on planned output.
Thanks / Dipak
Even I am not sure on the region setup..did not try as such.
Could you pls try once and check if its working.
I have raised SR to check important of 'region and zone' setup for use of shipping calender. Come to know that this is mandatory.
Thanks / Dipak
Thanks for the update,Dipak.
It was a useful info!!!
I am looking for further more help in this case..
Suppose, we are dealing with two OUs - US ( ie for USA organization) and EU ( ie Europe organizations). Now US OU is sales operating unit, SO will be entered in US OU, having customer and ship-to-location belongs to US OU. Here only SO line warehouse is belongs to EU OU. Its typical sales OU and manufacturing OU scenario.
Now in order to use shipping calender, we have mentioned default 'shipping method' and 'internal location' on customer ship-to-location. This is pre -requisite. Now this customer ship-to-location is belongs to US OU and EU OU is not allowed to enter any value against it. But as EU OU is dealing with shipping, then want to 'ship' material on specific days. So in given scenario, is there any alternative way to achieve the same ? Is there any work around to use shipping calender ?
