I have an application developed by ADF BC.
We deploy to OAS 10g and we are using Oracle Database 10g.
Our application using Data Source in OAS.
My question is simple, when the application is idle (no one use it), does the Oracle OAS always send query to the Oracle Database to make sure the database status is alive?
I questioned this because our Database Administrator found some small traffic from OAS.
You may see some requests from the Enterprise Manager checking for the status of components in the OAS framework, which could in turn trigger a database access request. An example of such a request is the monitoring of DADs in your framework. I reckon there are other components as well
