Not that I know of... Why would you want to hide such a cool feature? :)1 person found this helpful

Yes, it is a cool feature but I didnt ask for it :-) Besides it doesnt work completely without errors/warnings:
If i click on the link and then on open (save xls works fine) an error message occurs: "Could not open 'http://<servername>/hr/hrget/modules/com/hyperion/reporting/web/office/HROfficeReport.jsp/test.xls?gridname=grid1&iInstanceId=18885&format=excel.2002&viewAs=query&previewDone=true&promptDone=true'"
After click on OK another error message occurs:
"Microsoft Excel cannot access the file 'http://<servername>/hr/hrget/modules/com/hyperion/reporting/web/office/HROfficeReport.jsp/test.xls?gridname=grid1&iInstanceId=18885&format=excel.2002&viewAs=query&previewDone=true&promptDone=true'. There are several possible reasons:
The file name or path does not exist.
The file is being used by another program.
The workbook you are trying to save has the same name as a currently open workbook.
After click on OK the XLS export opens correctly but the messages are annoying. Perhaps anybody can help me ;-)
Thanks and kind regards
This for which version of FR and Excel?
FR 188.8.131.52 on Windows Server 2008 R2 and Excel 2003 SP3
Installation of FR Patch p13983154 solved the issue. Now Excel Export opens without any error messages.
Thank you all for your help!!!
Sweet. Thanks for letting us know.
You said "Nothing until 184.108.40.206." Does that mean 220.127.116.11 has this feature that allows you to hide the Export to Query mode? Or are you saying through 18.104.22.168, no such feature is available.
I'm asking because I have multiple grids in one FR report, and the Export to Query Mode link is getting in the way.
This feature is available in 22.214.171.124
Added new option to "Query ready Mode" FR Preference (In Workspace, go to
File/preferences/Financial reporting). The new option, called "Disabled," if
selected will disable Query Ready mode completely.
In addition to the new feature in the Preferences section of Workspace (user front-end), do you know if there is a setting within FR Studio in the latest version that disables Query Ready Mode? I came across this thread and also have FR reports with multiple grids. It would be nice to disable it at the report level - instead of a global setting in the Preferences for all reports.
Thanks for the input.
This needs to be at the grid level via FR Studio. Should be made as part of the Grid Suppression options.
