Did you find solution to these log entries every 8 minutes caused by wmiprvse.exe? I am running into exactly the same symptoms and I saw your forum posting. Please send me an email with your solution (i.e. if had found one) to firstname.lastname@example.org Thanks!
I have exactly the same issue on Oracle 10.2.0.4 (patchset 45) and windows 2008.. but just for a few database.
For my part, each 8 minutes, the own process of the oracle database lock the SYSTEM account..
Nop, nothing new here.
We stil l have the same situation :)
was the system account password changed on that computer recently?
If yes, then the error appears, because the WinPrvSE.exe program uses the wrong system account password (and locks the account therefore).
To change the password for WinPrvSE.exe program:
or you can change it via. the administration assistant for windows "Oracle Counters for Windows Performance Monitor snap-in".
?:\> %ORACLE_HOME%\bin\operfcfg.exe Enter user-name: system Enter password: password Enter tns-alias: orcl operfcfg: New registry values have been successfully set.
Juhey, that's great!
I saw your answer today , and I must confirm that this solved my problem.
