SPARC T3-1 hba card compatibility
Jul 22, 2012 10:19 PM
we are planning to add the hba card to existing server. What's the different between
8 Gb FC, Emulex, Dual Port (SG-XPCIE2FC-EM8-Z) and 8 Gb FC, Qlogic, Dual Port (SG-XPCIE2FC-QF8-Z) if I had to choose. Is it compatible with my current server?
OS type: SunOS 5.10
Kernel version: Generic_142909-17 sun4v sparc sun4v

in response to
Both card compatible with T3-1
SG-XPCIE2FC-EM8-N (-Z )
SG-XPCIE2FC-QF8-N (-Z )
Main Difference - original vendor. So will use different drivers etc.
I can't say that one vendors better than other.
