Can I get the code-analyzer to show me static analysis of shared libraries

My code base has a collection of shared libraries and binaries.

I am currently recompiling all of the libraries and binaries with "-xanalyze=code" for all of the *.o files and also at the link command.

When I use the code-analyzer tool it appears that it is only displaying the static analysis of the .o files that are linked directly into the binary. It appears that it is not displaying any of the static analysis of the .o files in my libraries (*.so files).

Is there a way to make code-analyzer see the static analysis in my shared library files easily?

Or do I have to do something more difficult like build statically linked versions of my libraries (*.a files) and then link all of those static libraries into my executables?
